We Don't Ask You to Trust Us.
We Give You Reasons To.
Every body shop claims they're honest. Every shop says they do quality work. We understand why you're skeptical — and we think you should be. So instead of asking you to take our word for it, here's everything you can independently verify.
"Sometimes a customer comes in convinced they need a full respray. After we inspect the car, we tell them they don't — a spot repair will do. That conversation costs us a few hundred dollars in work. We have it anyway. Our reputation in this neighbourhood is worth more than any single job."
— Pro Auto Body Shop, 73 Alness St Unit 1, North York · In business since 2004What Customers Actually Say — With Specifics
"Great job!" means nothing. Here are reviews where customers describe exactly what happened to their car.
"Brought in my Model 3 for a door panel after a parking lot hit. I specifically asked if they use genuine PPG paint and they confirmed it without hesitation — and showed me the container. The paint blending was flawless — even in direct sunlight it looks factory fresh. They finished a full day ahead of schedule. I've been to three other shops in North York. None of them come close."
"The colour match on my bumper was absolutely perfect — you cannot tell it was ever repainted. I've been to two other shops before and the difference is night and day. I was skeptical because Civic paint fades unevenly over time, but they scanned the existing colour with a spectrophotometer before mixing. These guys actually know what they're doing."
"My insurance company kept pushing me to their preferred shop. Pro Auto Body told me I didn't have to go — and they were right. They called the adjuster directly, handled every supplement, and I never spoke to my insurer once. The repair came back better than before the accident. I only paid my deductible."
The Honest Things — Even When They Cost Us
Trust is built when someone tells you something against their own interest. Here's what we say to customers — even when it means less revenue for us.
🔎 "You might not need that repair."
If a customer comes in thinking they need a full panel respray and we determine a spot repair will restore the finish properly — we say so. That conversation saves the customer money and costs us work. We have it every time.
📦 "This part is aftermarket — here's what that means."
When insurance approves an aftermarket part instead of OEM, we tell you the difference before we install it. We explain what it means for fit, durability and resale value. You decide — not us, not the insurer.
⏱️ "This repair will take longer than we estimated."
Collision repair sometimes reveals hidden damage. When it does, we stop, call you, explain what we found, and get your approval before continuing. We do not proceed without your consent — ever.
🤝 "We made a mistake. Here's how we fixed it."
In 20+ years, we have not been perfect. When a repair didn't meet our standard, we called the customer back, redid the work at no charge, and documented it. Our Lifetime Warranty is not marketing — it's a standing commitment we've honoured every time it was called upon.
What We Actually Do Differently — Not What We Claim
Generic claims like "quality work" and "customer service" mean nothing. Here's what is technically and operationally different about how we work.
Spectrophotometer Before Every Mix
We scan your existing paint before mixing — not just the door jamb paint code. Cars fade unevenly over time, so the code alone gives you a colour match to how the car looked new, not how it looks today. The scan accounts for age drift. Most shops skip this step.
PPG Envirobase® HP — Not a Generic Waterborne
We use PPG Envirobase® High Performance specifically — the same system used by Toyota, Honda, and BMW on the assembly line. Not a generic waterborne brand. The formulation, flex rating, and UV resistance are engineered to OEM standards. We can show you the product container on any job.
Climate-Controlled Booth — Not Open-Air Spray
Temperature and humidity directly affect how paint cures. Our climate-controlled spray booth eliminates fish-eye, orange peel and trapped-solvent defects that appear in open-air painting — defects that often don't show up until weeks after the job.
No Insurance Contracts — Ever
We have never signed a DRP agreement with any insurance company. DRP shops agree to use cheaper parts and lower labour rates in exchange for customer referrals. We don't. Our loyalty is to the vehicle owner — which means we fight for the right parts and the right process, even when the insurer pushes back.
