Color matching is both an art and a science. At Pro Auto Body, we use the industry-leading PPG Envirobase High Performance system to ensure your vehicle looks exactly as it did on the showroom floor.

Why Waterborne Paint?

Traditional solvent-based paints are harmful to the environment and often fail to match the depth and clarity of modern factory finishes. Most new vehicles—from Toyota to Tesla—are painted with waterborne technology at the factory. By using the same technology in our shop, we ensure:

• Exact Color Match: The metallic flakes in waterborne paint lay flatter, replicating the original texture and light reflection.
• Durability: Once cured, this paint is incredibly hard and resistant to chipping and fading.
• Eco-Friendly: We reduce volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions by up to 80%, making our shop safer for our technicians and the North York community.

The Process

Our painting process is meticulous. First, we use a computerized spectrophotometer to scan your vehicle's existing paint. This accounts for any subtle fading that has occurred over time. The computer generates a custom formula, which our technicians mix with gram-perfect precision. The vehicle is then sprayed in our downdraft spray booth, which filters the air to prevent dust contamination, and baked at high temperatures to cure the finish instantly.
