Lifetime Warranty Policy
Governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario)
Minimum Legal Warranty (Mandatory Disclosure)
Under Ontario law (Consumer Protection Act, 2002), all motor vehicle repairs are subject to a minimum warranty of 90 days or 5,000 kilometres (whichever comes first) for parts and labour. If our repair fails within this period due to workmanship or part defect, we will repair it at no cost.
Pro Auto Body Extended Lifetime Coverage
Pro Auto Body exceeds the legal minimum by offering a Lifetime Warranty on the following services for as long as you own the vehicle:
- Paint Durability: Coverage against peeling, blistering, or fading (excluding normal wear/tear like stone chips). We use the PPG Envirobase High Performance system.
- Body Repair Workmanship: Coverage against structural defects or panel misalignment resulting from our repair.
- Metalwork: Structural repairs and frame straightening are guaranteed to meet factory specifications.
Exclusions (CPA Guidelines)
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from subsequent accidents, misuse, or neglect.
- Stone chips, scratches, or environmental damage (e.g., bird droppings, acid rain, salt).
- Repairs or alterations performed by another facility.
- Rust or corrosion on parts not replaced or repaired by us.
How to Claim
- Bring your vehicle to our North York location at 73 Alness St (no appointment necessary during business hours).
- Present your original invoice as proof of ownership and repair.
- Inspection: We will inspect the issue. If it falls under our coverage (Minimum or Extended), we will repair it free of charge.
